FAQ

Q.  Will 1-3, 1-6 beta glucans trigger a yeast allergy?
A.  No. 1-3, 1- 6 Beta Glucans is an isolate and does not contain enough yeast protein to cause an allergic reaction.

Q.  What else can I do?
A. The basis of health is a good diet. But many nutrients are especially important in maintaining a strong immune system. They include selenium, zinc and Vitamin D.

Uni-Vite NutriShield is an exceptionally comprehensive supplement that has been expressly formulated to give optimum baseline support to the body’s overall healthy functioning, including the immune system.

See www.nutrishield.com

Elements of a healthy diet include:

5 portions of fruit and vegetables per day

3 portions of whole-grain products per day

2 portions of dairy products per day

A balance of essential oils; two-three portions of oily fish per week, olive oil and olive oil products instead of sunflower oil and products derived from it

A fibre intake of at least 20 grams a day, including pre-biotic fibre

1-2 litres of water per day

There is also evidence that shiitake and maitake mushrooms contain immuno-strengthening nutrients, which have similarities to 1-3, 1-6 beta glucans.
